Wildland Adventures Now Travels to India

Wildland is now in INDIA!  We are excited to introduce an ancient destination in a new way; The Indian subcontinent: Empire of the Soul

Adrian Bridger-Chalker, Wildland's resident India expert, spent six years guiding adventure groups throughout the subcontinent and has returned to India to guide groups most years since. He will lead Wildland's special 23rd December Of Tigers & Palaces (Northern India) departure. Please call for special early registration discounts.

Wildland's two new itineraries deliver real-world experiences and Wildland's trade-mark travel authenticity.

The 11-day Of Tigers & Palaces itinerary covers a large section of Northern India's breathtaking panoply of history, culture, and peoples, exploring Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan - arguably the world's most romantic destination. Participants explore New Delhi, contemplate the architectural masterpieces of the Taj Mahal and Fatepur Sikri in Agra, seek out wildlife at Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, and view the Howa Mahal, Janta Manta, Palace Museum, and Amber Palace in Jaipur. There is even an (optional) elephant ride. The grand finale is two tiger safaris in the truly magnificent Ranthambore Tiger Reserve. Part of the Wildland trade mark travel authenticity is the includion of an evening meal in the home of one of the park's tiger guides.

The Southern India 12-day Of Temples & Spice itinerary begins in Chenai (Madras) and traverses the entire southern peninsular from the East to West coast, crossing three states and ending in historic Cochin (Cochi). En route, travelers visit the fabled temples of Trichy and Madurai and seek tigers and wild elephant in Periyar Nation Reserve. Southern India offers perhaps the most sumptuous selections of cuisine and one of the world's most refined cultures. In addition to riding elephants through spice plantations and small villages, a particularly notable Wildland highlight is an overnight as family guests on a spice plantation in the Cardamom Hills, where participants gain special insights into the local culture and the lives of Southern Indian spice producers.
